The bear that was seen searching for food and was caught last week in Sumner was released back into the wild.
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Officer Bruce Richards transported the bear deep into the woods to release it.
The trained Karelian bear dog, Coulter, that helped capture the bear last week also helped release it.
Coulter chased the bear into the woods to make sure it stayed in there.
According to a report on King 5 News, the use of bear dogs is helping to prevent the number of bears the department used to kill rather than capture and release.
At the time of this post, there was no new information regarding the bear seen in Bonney Lake.
