Enumclaw’s plan to host its second-annual Snow Play Day this weekend has been postponed, if not cancelled.

According to City Council member Chance la Fleur, even though the weather on Jan. 15 was looking amenable, various truck drivers – who were volunteering to go up Crystal Mountain, load up on snow, and dump it behind the Arts Alive! and Chamber buildings on Cole Street – expressed skepticism that they’d be able to make the trip safely.

La Fleur said this means the city might look at hosting the Snow Play Day later in the winter, maybe not right at the tail end of a winter storm, or just host it next year.
