Mountain View Fire and Rescue/Black Diamond Fire Department spokesman Tim Perciful sent out a twitter message regarding a river rescue.

Mountain View Fire and Rescue/Black Diamond Fire Department spokesman Tim Perciful sent out a twitter message regarding a White River rescue.

Perciful reported details are sketchy at this point, but initial reports are a man and a dog are involved on the wrong side of the river.

Update: 7:58 p.m.

From Perciful’s Twitter messages:

“A couple men were by the river for the day and one of their dogs (Dozer) saw a splay in the water and jumped in.”

“The Pit Bull went down stream about 200 yards when the man lost sight of his dog. The man thought the dog drowned.”

“A few minutes later the man saw Dozer on a sand bar. The wet, tired, and cold dog was about ready to jump back into the water…”

Update: 8:09 p.m.

“The man and his friend made a raft out of driftwood and tied the logs together with shoestring so he could cross the river to his dog.”

“Once he reached his dog he could not get back over and called 911.
