Vehicle prowls on Wells Street | Enumclaw Police

An officer responded the afternoon of Sept. 5 to a Wells Street address after learning of a vehicle prowl/residential burglary.

DRUNK DRIVERS: A traffic stop at 9 p.m. Sept. 6 on Harding Street resulted in the driver being arrested for driving while intoxicated. When police could not located the registered owner, the vehicle was impounded. About four hours later, police responded to an auto accident on 244th Avenue Southeast; one of the motorists was arrested for driving under the influence.

GAS GONE: An employee of a neighboring business told police Sept. 6 of witnessing two males siphoning gas from vehicles parked in the lot adjacent to the public library.

TAKEN FROM VEHICLE: Items were reportedly stolen the evening of Sept. 5, taken from an unlocked vehicle parked at the Enumclaw Expo Center during an Enumclaw High football game.

TOO LOUD: Police took an anonymous report the morning of Sept. 5 regarding a neighbor who was using an air horn multiple times each day to scare away birds. The effort was not working but the noise was continuing, police were told. An officer responded and advised that the air horn should be halted.

VEHICLE PROWLS: An officer responded the afternoon of Sept. 5 to a Wells Street address after learning of a vehicle prowl/residential burglary. An electronic tablet valued at $200 was taken. Also on the afternoon of Sept. 5, police learned a purse had been taken from a vehicle at a Garrett Street address.

AUTO THEFT: A city resident told police the afternoon of Sept. 5 a vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day by a family member who was then involved in a hit-and-run incident in Pierce County before returning home. Enumclaw police responded to deal with the auto theft and recovery, while a Pierce County deputy responded to handle the hit-and-run.
