Nov. 20

Stolen Vehicle: An officer responded to the report of a motor vehicle theft, which occurred the night before on 111th Street East. The vehicle was later recovered, with no suspect information available. The victim reported this as the fourth time his vehicle had been stolen.

Suspicious Person: Officers responded to the report of a suspicious person believed to be living in a vehicle on Locust Avenue East. Upon contact, the person admitted to not having permission to be on the property and was found to possess an active warrant for arrest. She was taken into custody and transported to the Bonney Lake Municipal Court.

Nov. 21

Counterfeit: Officers were informed of counterfeit bill use at a Bonney Lake fast food restaurant, at about 3:40 a.m. When the cashier recognized the money to be fake, the subject asked for it back but the cashier refused. The subject then paid for the food with authentic currency and left. Upon questioning, the subject claimed not to know the bill was counterfeit and was subsequently released without any charges.

Shoplifting: A state Route 410 grocery store reported a shoplifter left the store with a basket of merchandise. Police investigation was unable to determine identification of the suspect.

Bicycle Theft: A juvenile reported his bike was stolen while it was parked in the bike rack outside a SR 410 retail store. The bike was not locked to the rack and no suspect information was available.

Shoplifting: A suspect was apprehended by store employees for shoplifting at a SR 410 retail store. Responding officers cited the suspect for theft in the third degree and released him at the scene.

Nov. 22

Domestic Report: Officers were advised of a domestic dispute, involving a female subject being pushed out of a vehicle by a male subject. At contact, the female denied being pushed and said no assault had taken place. A report was taken for informational purposes.

Vehicle vs. Pedestrian: Shortly after 12 noon, officers responded to the scene of a pedestrian pinned by a truck to a Redbox rental kiosk. The victim was transported to Tacoma General Hospital in serious but stable condition. The exact cause of the incident is under investigation but the driver was issued a citation for inattentive driving.

Delivery Theft: A Bonney Lake resident called to report a package had been stolen from her front porch. A statement was provided, which included a suspect vehicle description, and the report was forwarded for further investigation.

Shoplifting: Two juveniles were caught shoplifting at a SR 410 retail store. They were detained without incident and released to a parent. The case was forwarded to the Pierce County Juvenile Prosecutor for review.

Nov. 23

Vandalism: The windows were broken out of two vehicles on Church Lake Drive East. A suspicious person was seen driving in the area but the witness was unable to provide a license plate number. No suspect information was available at the time of report.

Mail Theft: Police were advised of a subject seen stealing mail from homes on 70th Street East. A description of the suspect was provided but police were unable to locate him or the vehicle he was driving.

Civil Standby: A woman called to request police assistance. She was attempting to retrieve items from the home her ex-husband inhabits with their children and an argument ensued. There was no claim or evidence of assault, but officers provided each party with a domestic violence referral card and information on how to obtain a no-contact order, should the need arise.

Nov. 3

Broken Table: Officers responded to a domestic dispute in progress, called in by neighbors who heard glass breaking. Investigation revealed the couple had an argument, during which a glass table was broken. There were no injuries and both advised no assault had occurred.

Nov. 4

Suspected Burglary: Officers responded to a burglary in progress. The subject was seen prowling the home with a knife and was reported to still be inside. When officers knocked on the door, the subject inside said “I figured you all would be here.” He had broken in to his own home and was using the knife to prepare food in the kitchen. His identity was confirmed and he was released to get back to his meal.

Nov. 10

Out of Control: A mother reported her daughter as an out of control juvenile. The incident began over an argument between the two subjects, which resulted in the mother slapping the daughter and the daughter hitting the mother. Upon approach, the daughter exhibited aggressive behavior toward officers. She was booked into Remann Hall for assault in the fourth degree and resisting arrest.

Nov. 12

Threatening Texts: Officers responded to the report of a female subject threatening a male subject via text message and phone calls. The female was upset the male was seeing another woman. They started arguing and the female sent a text message, which the male interpreted as threatening. The female claimed she meant no harm. She was advised to be more cautious with her texts and she agreed that it could be misinterpreted.
