The Washington State Department of Transportation’s quarterly performance and accountability report, the “Gray Notebook” (pdf 4.0 MB) takes off in its 55th edition, providing an in-depth look at the agency’s aviation program.
This “Gray Notebook” also reviews the condition of WSDOT’s buildings and facilities, the number and cost of completed construction contracts, as well as how the agency is streamlining Endangered Species Act processes and working to improve stormwater quality at construction sites. It also features a variety of quarterly reports, ranging from how incident response teams keep traffic moving on state highways to ferry reliability.
“The ‘Gray Notebook’ is more than a report. It’s a tool that directly supports the goals and outcomes set forth by Results WSDOT, our agency’s strategic plan,” said Daniela Bremmer, director of Strategic Assessment and Performance Analysis.
Performance measures reported in “Gray Notebook 55” include:
• WSDOT completed 88 percent of the tasks in its preventive maintenance plan for its buildings (p. 2, pdf 4.0 MB)
• WSDOT used $400,700 in state funds to leverage $7.8 million in federal dollars to fund 39 airport projects from July 2015 through June 2016 (p. 6, pdf 4.0 MB)
• WSDOT completed 149 construction contracts valued at $542.4 million from July 2013 through June 2014, 8.9 percent less than estimated (p. 22, pdf 4.0 MB)
