Shopping in Enumclaw can now land you a free vacation.

Last week, the city’s Chamber of Commerce launched a new event called “I Love Enumclaw Shopping” in order to encourage locals and visitors to spend money in the area.

To participate, all you need to do is start saving your receipts from when you shop at an Enumclaw business — not chain businesses, said Chamber Event Coordinator Kerry Solmonsen, but a “locally-owned” business.

For every $25 spent locally, you can exchange those receipts at either the Chamber or Country Financial for a raffle ticket.

You can also email your receipts to iheartenumclaw@enumclawchamber.com to enter the raffle.

Additionally, if you post on social media with #iloveenumclaw and tag @Anne Gannom-countryfinancial and @enumclaw_chamber while exchanging your receipts, you can get a bonus raffle ticket.

The grand prize for the event is a two-night stay at the Alta Crystal resort, complete with food and wine — a value of more than $1,000. There will be other prizes as well, including gift cards to local businesses.

The drawing is planned to be held Feb. 20.
