THEFT FROM TRUCK: On March 16, a citizen in the 24700 block of Morgan Street reported a theft from his locked truck. The owner said he arrived home at approximately 3:30 a.m. and noticed the door of his truck sitting open and the locks damaged. A citizen band radio and satellite radio unit were stolen.

ATTEMPTED PROWL: On March 17, a citizen told police his neighbor had told him there was an attempted car prowl on his vehicle on McKay Lane. The neighbor saw two men standing next to his truck at approximately 10 p.m. When one of the men attempted to open the truck door, the neighbor yelled at them. The suspects ran from the scene. Nothing was taken and nothing was damaged.

VERBAL ONLY: Officers were dispatched to a verbal domestic dispute at 7 p.m. March 17 in the 23000 block of Southeast 291st. A woman said she and her husband were in a heated argument. After speaking with both parties, the husband decided he would leave and return later in the evening.

DEBIT CARD FRAUD: A citizen reported March 18 that her debit card had been fraudulently used in Mexico City at an unidentified clothing store. Her financial institution notified her of the charge which she stated she did not make. An investigation is pending.

ILLEGAL DUMPING: At approximately 2 p.m. March 18, a citizen reported there was a man dumping garbage on Plass Road. Upon the officer’s arrival, they noticed a large amount of scrap metal and an old, large TV. The reporting citizen was able to provide a license plate and a description of the suspect. The officer was familiar with the suspect, due to previous contacts, and was able to contact him and escort him back to the area. The subject was given the option of cleaning up the debris or being cited for illegal dumping. He chose to clean up the debris.

DRUG CHARGES: At approximately 5 p.m. March 22, an officer was dispatched to a possible burglary in progress at a vacant residence on Third Avenue. A vehicle was located across the street occupied by one female. She told police the two males at the residence worked for a mortgage company and were going to provide a bid to clean up the property. She was asked to step out of the vehicle and as she did her purse was sitting in plain view with marijuana in a cellophane wrapper. When questioned, she admitted the marijuana was hers and confessed to also having a metal pipe and glass methamphetamine pipe in her purse. She was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. It was determined the two men really were there to submit a bid for cleanup.
