Barbara Anne (Elder) Harrison died Feb. 9, 2017, following a battle with cancer. She was 57.
She was born March 12, 1959, to the late Fred and Rose Elder. She was raised in the Black Diamond area, attending Black Diamond Elementary and graduating in 1977 from Enumclaw High School. She worked for many years as a general manager for Host International at SeaTac International Airport and for Party City Inc. She is remembered for contributing to many family and community events with her designer cakes and other baking.
She is survived by daughters Michelle Stotts, Kelsey (Philip) Simmons and Kaydee Standoak; brothers Fred Elder, Dave (Heidi) Elder, Jim (Vicki) Elder, Mike (Pam) Elder, Eddie (Esther) Elder, Jeff (Launa) Elder and Marty (Marni) Elder; sisters Jude (Jay) Irish and Mary Ellen (Anthony) Bolden; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A celebration of her life took place Friday, Feb. 17, at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Black Diamond, where she was baptized.
