Betty Mayfield of Buckley died Sept. 8, 2014, in her home. She was 81.
She was born Oct. 8, 1932, to Oscar and Goldia Bowen in Brush, Colo., and lived in the Bonney Lake/Buckley area most of her life. She was owner and operator of Mayfield Floral for 16 years, retiring in 1998. She was a charter member of Bonney Lake Church of the Nazarene who enjoyed gardening, visiting with friends and spending time with her family.
Survivors include foster son Darrin Rapalee; daughters Darlene Schenk and husband Steve, Debbie Evans and husband Cal, Doris Foster and husband Wes and Dawn Bellevue and husband Bret; sister Lorraine Orum; sisters-in-law Freda Burbank and Mable Nearhood; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert Mayfield.
The Rev. Steve Ripp officiated at services conducted at Bonney Lake Church of the Nazarene. Burial was at Buckley City Cemetery under the direction of Curnow Funeral Home.
