Beverly Ann Ross, 89, of Carbonado died Aug. 27, 2019, in Puyallup.
She was born Sept. 12, 1929, in Roslyn, Washington. She dedicated her life to both her family and her work. She started at the bottom and worked her way to the top during 31 years at Rainer State School in Buckley, retiring as a manager. Away from work, family was her top priority, raising her own children and then participating in all of her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities. She also enjoyed gardening, enjoying the beautiful flowers she grew.
She is survived by son Rick Ross (Patti) and daughter Cheryl Starkel (Duke), all of Carbonado; sisters Linda Strub (Bill) of Puyallup and Judy Bauman (Dennis) of Carbonado; brother John Johnson (Sheila) of Carbonado; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Neil Ross and brother William Johnson.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley.
