Byron G. Johnson died July 19, 2017, at the age of 89.
He was born Sept. 22, 1927, in Renton to the late Oscar and Anne Johnson. He was raised in Washington and lived in this area approximately 60 years. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Marines. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad and retired as a division superintendent. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who took a great interest in beaver habitat.
He is survived by wife Beverly; sons Bill (Jenny), Tim (Chris) and Ted (Derrick); brother Marvin (Phyllis); eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brother Wayne; daughter Cindy; son Thomas; infant twin sons; and grandson Jerry Jr.
Remembrances are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
The family will host a private, graveside gathering at a later date.
