Charles Newton died Jan. 25, 2020.

He was born Sept. 20, !939, to the late Maynard and Eva Newton. He is remembered for his love of family and friends, horses, working on cars and helping people.

He is survived by wife Barbara Newton; sister Ollie Tiller; daughter Shannon Newton (Jeffery Poppe) of Orting; son Steve Johnson (Janet) of Enumclaw; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Newton.

Services are planned for 1 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Brinnon Community Church.
