Clifford Patrick “Pat” Holmes died of cancer Oct. 24, 2009, in the hospital in Everett, Wash. He was 73.
He was born Sept. 7, 1936, in West Virginia to Clifford Sr. and Frances Holmes. He was a member of the Enumclaw High School graduating class of 1955. He worked at Western Gear in Seattle and Everett for approximately 32 years, then retired from a quality control position with The Boeing Co. He will be remembered a quick wit, a sense of humor and how he liked to show off his 1975 Lincoln at car shows around the state.
He is survived by son Wesley L. Holmes and wife Delilah of Marysville, Wash; brother Bill Holmes and wife Lenore of Kent, Wash.; former wife Joan Weber; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by oldest son Jeffrey Holmes Sr.
He was a member of the Everett Elks and a memorial service took place there Oct. 30, 2009.
