Cora Winona Schuver, died 8 June 2024 in Enumclaw, WA, where she resided for the past 19 years.

Winona, the daughter of Harold Hugo Wessel and Helen Marie Underhill, was born in Sanborn, IA on 3 August 1931.

She graduated from Jordan High School in Long Beach, CA and attended Iowa State University until she married her lifelong love,Rudy Schuver, in1 951. They were married 72 years and had nine children, 17 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Winona was a military wife for 25 years, supporting her husband and his Army career. She also worked as a secretary, a real estate agent, and as an artist, matting and framing fine art. In their retirement, Winona and Rudy became avid nature lovers and traveled extensively to see the wonders of the world.
