David Eugene Strous of Puyallup, Washington went to be with the Lord on Sept. 15, 2019. He was born Aug. 12, 1931 to Curtis Eugene and Effie Mildred Strous in Adelphi, Ohio. He moved to Xenia, Ohio in 1946 and graduated from Xenia Central High School in 1949.
He joined the United States Air Force and served his entire time in the Strategic Air Command. He married Mary Rogers in 1956.
He is survived by his by his brother Richard Strous (Dolores), wife Mary, children Deborah Strous-Boyd, Rebecca Mermod (Leonard), Julia Hyres (David), Jennifer DeRosa (James), and Peter Strous (Karen). Also survived by 7 grandchildren, Dr. Alexander Hyres (Kristy), Nathan Hyres (Samantha), Andrew DeRosa, Heather Hernandez (Manuel), Benjamin Strous, Katie Strous and Kirsten Strous and 2 great grandchildren, Elodie Hyres and Lucia Hyres. He is predeceased by his brother Curtis Eugene Strous (Shirley). He worked for The Boeing Company for 38 years before retiring in 1994.
Member of Thornton F. McElroy Lodge #302 and Calvary Presbyterian Church. Funeral service at Weeks Funeral Home 1810 Wells St., Enumclaw, WA at 2:00 p.m. on Sept. 21, 2019.
