Donald “Don” Duane DeMoss (62) passed away February 23, 2018 at his home in Enumclaw.
Born in Enumclaw on December 11, 1955 to Doral and Millie DeMoss, Don started working in his family owned logging business while still in school and spent most of his life working in the woods. He married his wife Mary Ann in 1982 and together they lived in SE Alaska and Eastern Washington before returning to Enumclaw to raise their family. He loved the outdoors, camping with his family, and fishing the rivers. His greatest joy was his family, especially his young grandchildren. Known as “Big Fish Don” for the fishing stories he would tell, he was adored by three grandchildren who loved learning to fish and laughing with their Papa. Don was generous with his time and always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann DeMoss; daughters Jessica Sericolo and Kaila DeMoss; mother Millie DeMoss; sister Annette Alt; brother Rodney DeMoss, and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Doral DeMoss.
A gathering to remember Don will take place in May at his daughter’s home in Graham, Washington. Donations in his memory may be made to Fred Hutchinson’s Brain Cancer research fund.
