Doris E. “GG” Holst-Hild died May 3, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Enumclaw. She was 93.

She was born and raised in Ironwood, Mich., and served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-44. She married Gilbert Hild and in 1962 moved to Washington, where she retired from the bulk mail center in Federal Way after a long career.

She is survived by sons James Hild (Mary) of Federal Way and Jeffray Hild; daughters Lynn Mathieson (Frank) of Enumclaw and Alliason Morefield (Daniel Conti) of Sequim. She was preceded in death by husband Gilbert Hild in 2001 and son Richard Hild in 2016.

A graveside service is planned for 3 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Tahoma National Cemetery.
