Douglas Mullin, age 74, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024.

Born on September 15, 1950, Doug lived a life full of love, adventure, and service. Doug grew up and lived the majority of his life in Buckley and the surrounding areas (Wilkeson and Carbonado).He was a proud graduate of WhiteRiver High School, where he excelled athletically. He was a standout in football and wrestling, dominating on the field and the mat, and earning the respect of his teammates and coaches.

After high school, Doug answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Army. He bravely served during the VietnamWar, demonstrating his courage, strength, and dedication to protecting those he held dear.

Doug had a deep love for the outdoors, where he found peace in hunting, fishing, hiking, mushroom picking, and gardening. He shared these passions with his family, inspiring them to appreciate and enjoy nature.

Doug is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Collene Mullin; his daughters, TinaWhite (Mel) and JessicaHopkins (Trevor); his four beloved grandchildren: Kaitlyn White, Colby Hopkins, Kody White and Carson Hopkins; his sisters, Marsha Derby and Teresa Resser; and his brother, Randy Mullin. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, James andMinnie Mullin, and his son and faithful hunting and fishing partner, Brett Mullin.

Doug will be laid to rest with military honors at the Tahoma National Cemetery on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. PST. Doug will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories of his family and friends, and in the mountains, forests, lakes, rivers and creeks he loved so much.
