Ed Tuthill

A graveside service for Buckley resident Ed Tuthill, 78, took place March 21, 2011, at Tahoma National Cemetery, with Military honors performed by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.

He died March 13, 2011, at his home.

He was born April 20,1932, to George and Ione Tuthill in Tacoma. He lived in Alaska and the Bonney Lake area going to school in the Sumner School District. He served in the U.S. Army from July 6, 1955, to June 23, 1958, and served in the Army National Guard for many years. He was a member of the Enumclaw Police Department and retired from Weyerhaeuser. He enjoyed breakfast with friends at Charlie’s Cafe, going to Reno and fishing.

He was married to Phyllis Wendt for 34 years, then divorced. He is survived by daughters Cheryl Klotz of Malden Wash., Debra Tuthill of Spokane, Wash., and Rebecca Hulsey of Buckley; son-in-law Joseph Hulsey; two brothers; sister Sherry Hetzler of Oregon; and four grandchildren.
