Enumclaw resident Edwin V. Swenson died Aug. 12, 2014. He was 89.
He was born Sept. 5, 1924, in Fort William, Canada, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a retired Boeing employee. He enjoyed baseball, bowling and square dancing.
He is survived by sons Tom E. Swenson of Lakewood, Wash., and Eddie J. Swenson of Yakima, Wash.; daughters Linda D. Swenson and husband Terry of Enumclaw, Pam G. Kennaman of Aberdeen, Wash., Denise E. Barnhart of Enumclaw and Deanna M. Owens of Vancouver, Wash.; brothers Swede Swenson of Seattle and Jonny Swenson of Puyallup; sisters Lillian Loomis of Federal Way, Wash., and Margaret Beane and husband Bill of Puyallup; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife Lola M. Swenson, daughter, Marcy C. Hanis, four grandchildren, a brother and a sister.

An inurnment service is planned for 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, with a memorial service following at Charlie’s Café in Enumclaw.
