Evangeline “Angie” Bolton died Aug. 26, 2024, at the age of 91.

Angie Bolton, 91, of Enumclaw,Washington, died on August 26th, 2024.

She was born at home on April 4th, 1933 to John &Magdalena Erhardt in Center, North Dakota. She was the fourth of eleven children (two died in infancy) and grew up on the family’s farm in Richardton, N.D. On the farm she developed an ethic of hard work that continued throughout her life. She attended school at St.Mary’s School.

She married Don Bolton on August 4th, 1956 and they had four children. They moved to Washington state in 1962 and lived in Enumclaw for eight years, moved to Burbank, CA for five years, then moved back to Enumclaw for the remainder of their lives.

In 1975 they bought EnumclawStationers, Inc. and operated it untilDon’s death in 1984. Angie continued to operate the store, which was eventually purchased by her son, Dan. She could not be persuaded to retire and worked there until she was 85 years old! She was a fixture in downtown Enumclaw for over forty years andmany of the customers she served considered her a friend.

Angie generously gave of her time and her love to her family and friends. She was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don, sisters Edna, Agnes, Isabelle and Lorraine, and brothers Ralph, Norman and Edward. She is survived by sons Damon (Martha), Dan (Blossom), daughter DeEtta (Kevin), and son Dwight; sisters Ann (Dallas) Pasley, Alice Christianson, and brother Marc (Joyce) Erhardt; grandchildren Julie Needham, James Bolton, EmaLee Noggle, Charity Bolton, Mitchell (Sabrina) Bolton, Dreux Bolton and Joshua Bolton; four great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

Angie’s wishes were to be buried next to her brother Norman at the family farmin North Dakota, so her family plans to travel there next summer and will have a private service at that time.
