Florence Massey, 94, died Sept. 3, 2011, at her home in Bonney Lake.

She was born Jan. 17, 2011, in Emporia, Kan. She became a nurse at the age of 48 and worked at the Enumclaw Hospital until she retired. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies who loved quilting, crocheting, traveling and camping with her family.

She is survived by sons Robert Massey and wife Gloria of Colorado and Richard Massey and wife Lois of California; daughter Virginia Gilbert and husband Richard of Graham, Wash.; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Joseph C. Massey.

A celebration of her life will be at a later date.
