Fred Nyman Carel, 82, of Enumclaw, Washington, passed away on November 23, 2023. He was born on November 18, 1941, in Sumner, Washington.

Fred is survived by his son, Barry Carel, and his daughter, Cyndi Arthur. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Hope, his beloved grandmother, May Nyman, and his siblings, Lee Carel and Margaret Culver. Ann Bremmeyer, his former wife and friend, also mourns his loss.

Fred graduated 2nd in his class in 1960 from Sumner High School and later went on to have a successful career in sales. He worked at Gronvik’s Electric Center, Fred’s Appliance, Sears and Home Depot where customers appreciated Fred’s honesty in never trying to sell them something they did not need.

Fred was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Puyallup Lodge #1450, serving as Exalted Ruler twice.

In accordance with Fred’s wishes, there will be no service held. However, if you wish to honor his memory, contributions can be made to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
