Gerald “Jerry” Coleman, 84, of Enumclaw, died Dec. 3, 2019.
He was born March 30, 1935, in Seattle to James and Alice Coleman. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, later worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a 50-year member of Operating Engineers Local 302. He loved to hunt and fish and for 20 years he enjoyed the sunshine while spending winters in Arizona.
He is survived by wife of 32 years, Shirley Coleman of Enumclaw; stepdaughters Karen Pyl (Bernie) of Auburn and Karla Van Dyk of Camano Island, Washington; stepson Keith Van Dyk (Denise) of Ontario, Canada; sister-in-law Darlene Coleman of Kent; 10 stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Dec. 14 at Wabash Church.
