Glen Gordon Forgey, 97, of Enumclaw,WA, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024.
Born on August 8, 1926, at the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation in Dodson, MT, Glen was the beloved son of Isaac and Alice Forgey. A proudWorldWar II Navy veteran, Glen served valiantly in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of Enumclaw VFWPost 1949, where he also held the position of past commander.
In 1958, Glen and his wife, Valerie (known lovingly as “Babe”), acquired a dairy farm in Enumclaw, where they built a life together. In addition to managing the dairy, Glen worked in the flooring industry, demonstrating his dedication and work ethic.
Glen is survived by their five children: Joyce Grager, Janet Duke, Jackie Forgey, Jodi (Phil) Grager, and Jeff (Robin) Forgey. He is also survived by his son, Charles (Mary) Hord, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Glen had a passion for camping, bowling, chopping wood, and a competitive spirit when it came to cribbage, often employing creative strategies (cheating) to win.
He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Babe, and his dear friends, Art and Opal Danielson.
Glen will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Glen will receive military honors during his service at Tahoma National Cemetery on August, 19, 2024 at 9:00am.
