H. David (Dave) Peters died peacefully April 5, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma.
He was born Feb. 11, 1948, in Spokane, Washington, and lived in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for most of his life. He is remembered for his sense of humor, charity and love of others. When he was not teaching, he enjoyed politics, classical music, poker and going to the movies. He picked up litter while driving his golf cart and visiting his neighbors. Education was his life’s profession; even when he was ill he taught computer classes at the Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Terry; sons Mark of Albany, Oregon, and Nick of Bonney Lake; daughters Amber Hamlin of Spokane and Abby White of Bonney Lake; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Larry and Marge Peters and a brother, Tom.
Funeral services will take place Friday, May 3, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Tacoma. An internment will occur at a later date in Spokane Valley, Washington.
