Buckley resident Henry Machenheimer, 91, died Aug. 7, 2011.
He was born June 11, 1920, in Carlsborg, Wash., to Fred and Helen Machenheimer. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling with his wife. He was a longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Buckley Eagles.
He is survived by son Henry Machenheimer Jr.; daughter Dixie Goenner and husband Walter of Glenoma, Wash.; brother Fred M. Machenheimer Jr. and wife Linda of Dixon, Calif.; sister Sharon Parkko and husband Richard of Moody, Ala.; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Millie, and son Donald W. Machenheimer.
An inurnment service is planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Tahoma National Cemetery.
