Herbert Wilbur “Herb” Burnside, 79, of Enumclaw died May 25, 2017.
He was born July 24, 1937, in Wahalla, S.C., to Nelson and Pearl Burnside. He worked as a custodian for the Enumclaw School District and was also a business owner, former county coroner, chief of police and Black Diamond council member. He loved fishing and driving.
He is survived by son Ed Burnside (Cheryl) of Black Diamond; daughters Brenda Burnside and Pam Rockwood (Dean), all of Mossyrock, Wash.; brother Bruce Burnside of Black Diamond; sisters Louise Lee (Leon) and Linda James (Harold), all of South Carolina; and five grandchildren.
