Enumclaw resident Jack Edward Jansson died at home Dec. 29, 2017. He was 59.
He was born Aug. 9, 1958, in Arlington, Washington, to Ensio and Aune Jansson. He was employed at Cascade House for 14 years, where he was the lead cook. He served in the U.S. Army from 1981-85 as a combat engineer, was a member of Enumclaw First Baptist Church and loved gardening, cooking and hunting.
He is survived by his wife Karen Marie Jansson; son Zack Jansson of South Carolina; stepsons Brendan Perkins of Seattle and Derek Perkins of Enumclaw; daughter Sara Wade of Bonney Lake; brothers John Jansson (Teressa) of Yermo, California, and Mike Jansson of Olympia; sisters Hellen Holm (Terry) of Kent and Anna Hansen (Russ) of Chehalis, Washington; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by twin sister Kathy Jansson.
A service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Enumclaw First Baptist Church. There will be a gathering after the service.
