James Neff died peacefully at home May 7, 2018, surrounded by family.
He was born July 13, 1945, to the late Wayne and Phyllis Neff, the only son in a family of six children. As a teen and young adult he worked as a wrangler/ranch hand/camp leader. He married Claudia on June 21, 1965, and went on to work 20 years at Pacific Car and Foundry as foreman in the paint shed. He later drove commercial trucks, retiring from Utility Vault. He enjoyed motorcycles, road trips, camping, snowmobiling and CB radios. He was a lifetime member of South Seattle Saddle Club.
He is survived by son Jeff Neff (Krissi); daughter Bonnie Valdez (Rich); sisters Carol Sims (Don), Cindy Gosnell, Linda Kelley and Karen Glovick (Don); six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Claudia, his wife of 47 years, and sister Pam Gosnell.
There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at The Summit Church, 920 Roosevelt Ave. in Enumclaw.
