Janette Lee Peterson Hawley died peacefully on Aug. 4, 2019, surrounded by family in her home of 21 years in Ravensdale. She was 66.
She was born May 10, 1953, in Renton to the late Doris and Milton Peterson, joining 14 siblings. She was raised primarily in Seattle and graduated from Enumclaw High School. She is remembered as a woman of God who used her Christian calling to teach children’s fellowship.
She is survived by her husband Sean Hawley; children Rene Seling, Annie Seling, Joshua Seling and Matthew Hawley; siblings Patricia Lafferty, Darrell Peterson (Judy), Dennis Peterson (Connie), Allen Peterson, fraternal twins Marlin Peterson and Marlene Knoppe, John Peterson (Joyce), her identical twin sister Janet VanWieringen (Steve), Cheryl Anderson, Julie Scott (Robert), Joanne Gott and Jamie Cardoza (Rick); and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brother Kenneth Peterson and sister Norma Frost.
A funeral service took place Saturday, Aug. 10, at Weeks’ Enumclaw Funeral Home. Burial was at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton.
