Longtime Enumclaw resident, Jim Fagnan, passed away June 22, 2023, in the presence of his wife and his daughters. Jim attended school in Enumclaw but moved after the 8th grade. In 1984 he returned with his family. Jim enjoyed outdoor activities in the Pacific Northwest, spending many years gardening, camping, and golfing but his greatest love was fishing. Most recently he looked forward to his Saturday breakfasts at the Krain. One of his biggest joys was the gathering of friends and family. He loved to cook and often opened his doors to entertain and bring people together. He valued sharing his time by serving others. He served on the Board of the Enumclaw Regional Hospital and the Enumclaw Regional Hospital Foundation, was a member of Rotary, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He was a regular volunteer at Southwood Elementary and Kibler Elementary for his daughters and granddaughters.
After owning his own business, he retired and later drove school bus and was a substitute para-educator for the Enumclaw School District. His laid-back manner, kindness and humor will be missed by many. Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon Fagnan; his daughters Bea Brisbane (Matt) and Trish Blackburn (John); sister Mary Clayton; great nephew Tyler; grandchildren Rob Blackburn (Randi), Stella, Noah and Adley; as well as his great granddaughter Lainey. He is preceded in death by his parents Lou and Rachel Fagnan and nephew Josh Clayton.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday, August 9th, at 3:00 PM, followed by a gathering to “toast” and celebrate Jim’s life. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Enumclaw Schools Foundation or the Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation.
Please share a memory of Jim on the tribute wall at www.weeksfuneralhomes.com.
