As we mourn the loss of our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, we pay tribute to her and the timeless, refined elegance of a past era that she carried with such grace.

Our memories are filled with joy, kindness, and playfulness – leaving a lasting and loving imprint on all of our hearts.

On Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 Joan Marie St. Luise passed away at the age of 83 in Enumclaw. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dale of 64 years; children: Julie (Tryge) Pohlman, Mark (Yvette) St. Luise and Gayle (Greg Funk) St. Luise; grandchildren: Tayla (Josh) Flanders, Jess (Ashton) Pohlman,Ashley (Bobby) Campbell and Jory (Arlene) St.Luise; great-grandchildren: Kaia and Kamryn Flanders and Edie, Ender, Estelle, and Esmae Campbell; sister, Barbara Newton; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Joan greeted us with joy, taking time to visit and delighted in spending time with her children, watching her grandchildren grow up and her great-grandchildren play. She embraced a playful spirit, laughed easily, and shared good times with family and friends. She found joy in the beauty of nature-the blooming flowers, nesting birds, and changing seasons. She cherished the gatherings of family, embraced her creativity, and enjoyed leisurely drives in the countryside.

We hold dear the memory of her kindness, warmth, and empathy. She had a genuine interest in human-kindness.With a keen ability to ask thoughtful questions, listen attentively, and share words of support and wisdom from a life well lived.

Her compassion was evident in her wholehearted engagement, leaving an indelible mark on hearts. We welcome family and friends to a celebration of Joan’s life at the home of Dale and Joan on Saturday, September 7th from 2-5pm.
