Enumclaw resident John Curnan died Dec. 31, 2017, at the age of 77.

He was born March 22, 1940. He enjoyed watching the Seahawks, Mariners and hydroplane races. Also, smoking his pipe while drinking Coke Zero, dining out and chocolate. Most of all, he loved his family.

He is survived by wife Laura Curnan of Auburn; sons Eddie Curnan of Louisiana, Joe Curnan (Elisabeth) of Colorado and Tobe Curnan of Washington; daughters Cecily Sturtz (Ken) of Florida and Katie Ekstrom (Jason) of Colorado; brothers David Curnan and Dale Curnan, both of New York; and sister Bonnie Pulchiene of New York.
