Enumclaw resident John R. Balzarini died July 9, 2012, at Valley Medical Center.

He was born March 26, 1935, to Louis and Nice Balzarini. He graduated from Renton High School in 1953 and served in the military in Korea. He was an active member of the Eagles and the Elks. He worked for a Chevrolet dealership for more than 50 years until retiring in 2005.

He is survived by sisters Donna Burton and husband Ollie, Nadine Balzarini and Vicki Marsh and husband Rick; brother Louis and wife Chris; and stepsons Jim Whitman and wife Rayann and Tim Whitman. He was preceded in death by sister Jean Wallace of California.

A service took place July 17 at St. Stephen the Martyr Parish in Renton. A graveside service was at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Renton.
