Joseph “Joe” Sharp, beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend lost his short battle with cancer on Saturday August 26th at the age of 69.
Joe was born to Donald and Dorris Sharp. He grew up and attended school in Enumclaw where he made many life-long friends. In his youth, Joe was very active in the Boy Scouts where he achieved the prestigious rank of an Eagle Scout. After graduating from Enumclaw High School, Joe attended Green River Community College.
He landed a career at Boeing as an engineer and later moved to Snohomish.
Joe was a hard working father of two boys. He always encouraged his son’s interests and talents and tried to teach them the value of their efforts. He loved his sons tremendously!
Joe enjoyed music and was also an avid lover of nature. He spent his retirement years following his passion of being a photographer.
He specialized in bird photography, but was also great at capturing other animals, insects, and the textures of nature. He ran a website to share his love of nature and photography with the world.
He is survived by his sons Christopher and Jonathan, his siblings Del, Gloria, and Richard, his granddaughters, and friends.
There will be a graveside service at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery Saturday October 7th at 11:00 am. Family and friends are welcome to join together at the Krain Corner restaurant to enjoy a meal together, share stories, and celebrate Joe’s life.
