Enumclaw resident Julian Lee Hendricks died March 30, 2016, at the age of 89.
He was born May 8, 1926, in Floyd County, Georgia, to the late Flimey Hendricks and Rachel Mathis. During World War II he served as a parachute rigger in the U.S. Navy. Upon completion of his service, he began his 40-year career as a lineman for Puget Sound Energy. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking many trails throughout Washington state.
He is survived by sons Mark Hendricks of Portland, Ore., Doug Hendricks of Covington and Scott Hendricks of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters Willene Youngblood of Rome, Ga., Mozelle Sloman (Wilfred) and Gladys Puryear of Marietta, Ga. He was preceded in death by son Julian L. Hendricks Jr., sister Ella Reece and brothers Doyal, John, Donald, Howard, Jon, Leon and Farris.
The family suggests that remembrances be made to CHI Franciscan Hospice.
