Karalee Susanne Wolf died Jan. 30, 2019.
She was born Oct. 26, 1948, to the late Bea and Elmer Gramse. She was raised in Green Lake, Wisconsin, and spoke fondly of her time at “the farm” with her brothers and sisters. After graduating from high school, she completed cosmetology school and moved to Milwaukee to work as a hairdresser. Shortly after, she was set up on a blind date with Craig and they were married on Sept. 12, 1970. Eventually, the cold Midwest winters pushed them to leave Wisconsin and settle in the Pacific Northwest. In Monroe, Washington, they built a home on acreage and raised a family and many animals. She continued being a hairdresser until taking a job with State Farm Insurance, working there until she retired in 2014. She and her husband moved to Enumclaw to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
She enjoyed trips to Wisconsin to visit family and friends, drives with her husband in their Corvette, gardening and feeding birds. In 2000, she began a long journey with breast cancer.
She is survived by husband Craig Wolf; children Chris Wolf (Masha) and Erin Sauer (Greg); siblings Avalee, Mark (Laurie) and Lonnie Gramse; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Wabash Church, 18325 S.E. 384th St., Auburn.
