Kenneth Lee Strange, 83, of Enumclaw, Washington passed away on December 14, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Born on January 19, 1941 in Walla Walla, Washington Kenneth “Kenny” Strange attended Walla Walla High School as a member of the class of 1959.He served in the Army National Guard. In 1960 he married LauraDianna Schwarz, and they had two sons Craig and Wesley. He returned to school at Walla Walla Community College where he achieved an AAS degree in Civil Engineering and worked for 25 years as a mechanical engineering technician and construction quality assurance inspector for the US Army Corps of Engineers. In 2001 he married Lydia Fair and together they began a new and rewarding life as artists. Ken was a very talented, photographic artist and enjoyed traveling, teaching, and cohosting photographic workshops and field trips. He and his artwork receivedmany prestigious awards and a high praise from colleagues.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Olga Strange; his brother Herman R. Strange; his first wife Laura Deanna Strange;and his son Wesley A. Strange. He has survived by his wife Lydia of their home; his son Craig (Patti) and grandson Joshua (Amber) of Walla Walla; grandson Tyler of Renton; grandson Kenny Strange of Palm Springs, CA; granddaughter Michelle Gonzalez and great grandchildren Azura, Krista, and Robert Gonzalez, and nephews Steve Strange Sr., Jessica Strange; Steve Strange Jr. and Emerson Strange of Spokane; great grandsons, Wyatt and Huck Strange of Walla Walla; and great grandson Brody Strange of Kennewick,WA.
