Enumclaw resident Linda Kay Jay died March 30, 2017, in Tacoma. She was 68.
She was born March 12, 1949, in Morton, Wash., to Richard and Lois Studhalter. She had battled multiple sclerosis for 30 years. She became a grief counselor for parents who lost children after the death of her son.
She is survived by husband Steven Jay of Enumclaw; daughter Tanya (Chris) Goad of Redmond, Wash.; brother Steve (Kim) Studhalter of Eagle, Idaho; sister Diana (Mark) Casey of Morton; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son Toby Ahrens.
A graveside service is planned for noon Saturday, May 6, at Morton City Cemetery, corner of Seventh Street and Westlake Avenue in Morton. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 192 Nickerson, Suite 100, Seattle, 98109.
