Linda Merker

Linda Merker died Jan. 19, 2025, at the age of 73.

Linda Merker, born Linda Diane Bean, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on

January 19, 2025, after a lifetime of dedicated service to her family, her church, and her

community. Born on November 5, 1951, in Chicago, IL, Linda spent her 73 years filling the

world with her generous spirit, loving heart, and witty humor.

Linda was a woman of many talents, each one a testament to her vibrant personality. She was an adept homemaker, a skillful seamstress, a passionate cook, and a gifted singer. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish her own knitting store, All Knit Up! in Bellevue, Washington, which offered a wide selection of yarn, patterns, and knitting machines.

Linda’s powerful alto voice resonated in the halls of her church where she was an active participant, leading AWANA and singing hymns with a fervor that reflected her deep faith. “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,” Colossians 3:23 was a verse she lived by, investing her efforts in tasks both big and small.

Above all, Linda was a loving wife to Michael Merker and a dedicated mother to her children, Mason, Kit, Pepper, Becca, Kaitie, and Matt. Her brothers, Mike and Chuck Bean, and her sister, Amanda Benz, also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Adair Bean. Linda’s devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life.

She always prioritized her husband and children, investing her time and energy into providing them with a nurturing environment.
