Lola Beatrice Klappsa of Enumclaw died Sept. 29, 2016. She was 91.
She was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Cains Store, Ken., to Henry and Ada Pitman, the youngest of seven children. She married Joseph J. Klappsa, a train engineer from of Enumclaw, in 1943. An avid gardener, she enjoyed her time outdoors, either at her cabin in the mountains or at home in Enumclaw.
She is survived by daughter Victoria Carter; grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Seattle; and family in Montana, Oregon, Colorado, Yakima, Wash., and Las Vegas. Nev.
A celebration of her life will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at the VFW hall in Enumclaw.
