Lonnie G. O’Neal, 82, of Enumclaw, died Nov. 18, 2019, in Tacoma.
He was born July 5, 1937, in Sappho, Washington, to George Boyd and Anna Mae O’Neal. In 1954
He joined the U.S. Navy. Following his military service he had a long career with Rohr Industries as a jet engine mechanic. He met Nancy O’Neal and they married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Enumclaw on Aug. 14, 1959. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, especially at Sekiu. When he wasn’t enjoying the outdoors he could be found listening to country music or playing his guitar.
He will be remembered for always having a smile, his sense of humor and especially his love of his family.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy O’Neal of Enumclaw; daughters Laurie Robertson of Maple Valley and Shelly Christensen of Enumclaw; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Weeks’ Enumclaw Funeral Home. All are invited to share a memory on the tribute wall at www.weeksfuneralhome.com.
