Lyle William Pulling Sr. died Oct. 1, 2017, in Enumclaw.
He was born Oct. 20, 1928, in Selfridge, North Dakota, to Charles and Charity (Bales) Pulling. He grew up in Spokane, Washington, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In 1951, he married Beverly Schwarberg in Spokane. They moved to Enumclaw in 1982 and he retired from Burlington Northern Railroad as a surveyor in 1983. He loved being with his family and helping anyone in need. He enjoyed woodworking, working on his home and watching the Seattle Mariners.
He is survived by son Chip Pulling, daughter Brenda McBride (James) and sister Lorraine Warren, all of Enumclaw. He also is survived by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Pulling on April 19, 2012.
A memorial service took place Saturday, Oct. 7, in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
