Mary Joann Schafer, 84, of Enumclaw died Dec. 31, 2016.

She was born March 6, 1932, in Dewey, Okla., to Byran and Mary Furnish. She was a longtime member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Enumclaw and was involved with the Circle C group. She loved to read, loved her bowling team, and loved visiting the pool.

She is survived by daughter Cindy Sawyer of Enumclaw; son Mark (Jan) Schafer of Maple Valley; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Enumclaw.
