L. Nadine Silvestri, 96, passed quietly on September 25th, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones in her family’s home. Nadine was born on August 22nd, 1923 in the small coal mining hamlet of Hiawatha, near Ravensdale, Wa. She was the youngest of five children in the pioneer family of Anton and Lulu Kombol. She married Joseph Silvestri of Kangley, WA and they celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary in August. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; and son Danny. She is survived by her son Lanny Silvestri (Billie); daughter, Cheryl Beck (Gerry); daughterin- law, Becky Silvestri; granddaughters Angie Casper (Steve) and Jennifer Timme (Dave); great-grandchildren Dean Casper, Alex and Lexie Timme; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a beloved homemaker, active in her family’s business and social activities, the Sons of Italy and Rolling Romans clubs. She enjoyed dancing, traveling in their motor home with family and took trips to Europe. She was a gentle soul that loved her family and animals. She lived a long happy life.
A viewing will be held Friday, October 11th at Weeks’ Enumclaw Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Services are at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 12th at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Black Diamond, with a reception following. Burial will be at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Park on Monday, October 14th at 11 a.m.
