Enumclaw resident Nancy Louise Langenegger, 81, died June 17, 2012.
She was born April 20, 1931, in White Salmon, Wash., to Warren Goshen and Madge Audrey (Cochran) Hayes and was raised in Yakima. She graduated from Yakima High School in 1949. In the fall of 1950 she moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington where she majored in sociology and minored in business and preschool education. Following graduation she remained in the Seattle area for three years and worked in the business world. She moved to Ellensburg where she attended Central Washington College of Education for one year to receive her bachelor’s degree in education. Most of her teaching years were in Yakima and the Yakima Valley. In January 2002 she moved to Enumclaw to be closer to her “adopted” niece. She was an active member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and the PEO Sisterhood Chapter JB.
She is survived by family in Enumclaw, Bellevue and Oregon.
A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Enumclaw.
