Norma Jean Penn Rodriguez, 73, died June 14, 2011, in Auburn.
She was born March 27, 1938, in Queets, Wash., to Christian Penn Sr. and Lillian (Payne) Penn. She was a member of the Muckleshoot Canoe Family and the Muckleshoot Elders Committee. She loved the going to the casino, traveling and fishing and was a talented basket weaver.
She is survived by her sons Edwin Poulin and wife Winona of Skokomish, Wash., Alfred Bryan Jr., Lenord Bryan and Christian Penn, all of Aberdeen, Wash.; daughters Terri Black and husband Allan of La Push, Wash., Elsie Wells and husband Micah of Aberdeen and Sue Kalama of Queets; brothers Douglas Pullen Sr. and wife Sharon, Ronald Penn Sr. and Esau Penn Sr., all of La Push; sister Hazel Black and husband Rolend of Auburn; 30 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son Pete Penn and sisters Marie Lou Martinez, Marvella Sampson and Christina Sampson.
Services took place Saturday June 18, at the Pentecostal Church at Muckleshoot and burial took place at New White Lake Cemetery, both in Auburn.
