Pansie Naoma Culver died June 23, 2017, with family by her side.
She was born May 31, 1934, in Arlington, Washington, to the late Henry and Pansie Rodgers. She graduated from Arlington High School and, on Sept. 12, 1952, married Jack Denny Culver. They started a family of five children – Karen Lee (Rob), Bonnie Faye (Don), Jerry Duane, Glenn Allen and Christy Joan (Dan) – that came to include 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In 1966, the family moved to a small farm in Buckley where they rode horses, raised cattle, grew vegetables and canned fruit. From backyard farming to fishing and hunting in the wild, she loved to spend time outdoors. She was an exceptional gardener who enjoyed reading, crocheting, bird-watching and working crossword puzzles. All her life, she devoted herself to family and the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Culver; brother Warren Rodgers; and son Jerry Culver.
A celebration of her life took place July 1 in Buckley.
